A word about this blog's format: You will see the daily history update for this blog at the upper left hand corner of this page. You will not see the current day's date along with the update as you do in most other blogs. This is simply because I have limited html experience and I couldn't figure out how to incorporate the daily history update into a regular daily post box on my blog. I'm sorry if this seems a bit awkward but, just remember that the update does correspond to the current date you are viewing this blog.
Also, I stopped allowing comments on this blog since the spammers just seemed to flock to this blog.
Finally, please feel free to click on the links provided at the bottom of the history update box. The feed comes from thefreedictionary.com. They have amazing resources there. Please note that I don't get paid by them for anything. I just simply get the history update feed from them.

I hope to offer history fans an interesting place to visit when they want to know what happened "on this day in history." Also, I want to share some amazing products I've found in my travels that were tailor made for history fans. E.g., I found some awesome cd's/dvd's that deal with topics ranging from the Presidents of the United States to the world wars to suburbia. All of the details will be made available when I plan the logistics out.
